The Porto–Alta Sanabria Via Ferrata offers a unique way to explore the spectacular Bibey River Gorge. Located just a few minutes from the village of Porto, it combines adventure, nature and outstanding scenery in one of the most remarkable locations in Alta Sanabria.

The route is equipped with safety cables, metal rungs and other fixed elements that allow visitors to progress safely along rocky walls and elevated sections. Its main attractions include a 46-metre Tibetan bridge, two additional suspension bridges and a spectacular 160-metre zipline that crosses the gorge, providing exceptional views of the Bibey valley.

Classified as K2 on the international Hüsler scale, the via ferrata is considered moderately easy and is suitable for people with a reasonable level of fitness and basic mountain experience.

The installation is located within the Bibey River Fluvial Nature Reserve and the Lake Sanabria and Segundera and Porto Mountain Ranges Natural Park. Along the route, visitors can admire the gorge carved by the river, riverside woodland and the distinctive granite landscapes that characterise the area.

To enjoy the activity safely, all participants must use approved equipment and follow the safety regulations established for the installation.
